Advanced Search
Put a period in the search box to retrieve all resources in the database.
To use Advanced Search feature
- check the Advanced search box
- select your search criteria from medium, warrior (name), region, etc.
- put a period in the search box
- hit search
A number of warriors are known by multiple names and those names may have multiple spellings. For example the Iceni warrior who fought the Romans in the first century CE may be referred to as Boudica, Boudicca and Boadicea.
When ancient human remains are excavated, their names are seldom known. These are listed in the database as name unknown, archeological find, human remains, or by their burial site designation (e.g. Birka Bj. 581).
